The 10 Unmanliest Drinks In The World

The 10 Unmanliest Drinks In The World is the followup to the previous post. Take notes.

The 11 Manliest Cocktails In The World

The 11 Manliest Cocktails In The World details quite a list of manly drinks. However, rather than a Manhattan, I would recommend a Rob Roy. I guess that is just personal preference.

Done....

Finally done with my project. Had to change some things that Blogger does to make it verifiable with the W3C. I'll miss my class. It was fun, and I got this site out of it, and a lot of new knowledge to serve me in the coming years, but it was hard work. Still fun though. My next post will be of a completely carefree nature. (I think...)

Mostly Finished

Mostly finished with the look and feel. The Blogger integration for this site was not as hard as I had thought it would be. Mostly, it was deconstructing the accompanying CSS to make things jive here. Should be just minor tweaks from here on out.

Coming along nicely

Everything is coming along nicely. I need to weed through the sample CSS provided for Blogger and blend it into my site. And I've discovered by accident, that I like the dark blue background without the silver main area, so that will change on the rest of the site as well.

No More Firefox Woes

I found the problem with Firefox. Neither Firefox nor IE7 like thre link statement for the stylesheet to be of type="stylesheet"; instead, type="text/css" works very well.

Making more progress

Making Progress....

Well, it's taking some time, but the site is coming along nicely.  I could really use a beer though....

Firefox is killing me

This started with Assigmnet 5 as I was working on it for my class. Now, the issue is continueing with the final project. Opera obeys eveything in my CSS file. Firefox loads the YUI parts, and ignores the rest...

Have I mentioned how much I love BBEdit?

In all of the years that I have been "playing" with web design, the one constant thing is BBEdit. It is, to me, the preeminent text editor available for the Mac. I have been using it since version 4, and now, in version 8.7, it is still my trusty companion.

I've tried other web design solutions, and in fact, even have the Adobe Creative Suite, with Dreamweaver, but I always end up coding my pages in BBEdit. I never really got into the Quark Xpress style of web design with the graphical packages. I use them mostly to either get a quick start, or check my work.

I've tried other editors, most notably TextMate, which are ok, but to me BBEdit is the best editor ever.

First Blog

This is my first blog post in over five years. It's been that long since I last bothered to maintain my website and post on a blog page. al lot has happened since then. I've gotten married, had a wonderful son, bought a house, and most recently, learned how to properly use XHTML and CSS. So this page should be better than ever before.
